Tell us a bit about your background, and how you ended up at Gidsy!
I was born in Alaska, and my parents are from the Dominican Republic. I was an army brat, so I grew up all over the US. I went to Hampshire College in Massachusetts for Cultural Studies and Experimental Film, and one of my professors was always telling me to come to Berlin but I kept saying no. In 2000, my apartment burned down and I had nothing, so I just went for it and came to Berlin with him and a bunch of other students and I loved it. After going back to the US to finish my degree, and after about a year of hanging out in Los Angeles, I came back here in 2004 and have been here ever since.

…anything can happen here. That’s the best part about Berlin.
