It’s been an intense week. We’ve hired new people (we’ll introduce them soon), are preparing for our big launch, and have been busy with a lot of other stuff around Gidsy. Sometime in the upcoming week, we’ll announce something big.
For this week’s Weekend read, we found an article on The99percent website. In the age of the internet, social networks and new kind of jobs - a resume has almost become obsolete. When we hire people, we rarely pay attention to the resume. There are more important things.
(…) the resume is on the out, and the bio is on the rise. People work with people they can relate to and identify with. Trust comes from personal disclosure. And that kind of sharing is hard to convey in a resume. Your bio needs to tell the bigger story.
