Gidsy + Hello Etsy

This past weekend, Floris and Katie took a quick trip to The Netherlands to spread the good Gidsy word at both Emerce Eday in Rotterdam (where Gidsy won 5th place in the European Startups 2012 competition!) & Hello Etsy in Eindhoven. 

Needless to say, we had an amazing time & met so many great people. Hello Etsy took place in the famous Dutch furniture designer Piet Hein Eek’s workspace - what a perfect location - and we felt very lucky to hear him speak about his work. 

Floris spoke on a panel about the Shared Economy moderated by Etsy’s Creative Director, Randy Hunt along side Alexander Veltman (the founder of Boomerang Create), and Kellan Elliott-McCrea (Etsy’s CTO).

The best part of the conference, however, was meeting all the amazing people! We made some new friends, and were also able to chat with some existing members of the Gidsy Community. There are so many similarities between the Etsy & Gidsy communities, and we were very happy to play a part in this great conference and connect around the power of small business. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to collaborate!
